Rueda de Bachata (1)

Rueda de Bachata is simply Bachata danced in a Rueda Structure, and to Bachata music. Some of the basic moves are adapted to suit the Rueda structure, and other special moves created to enable partner changes etc. If you haven’t tried it yet, it is worth having a go simply for variety. The music is great fun to dance to, and being generally slower than Salsa, there is more time to execute the moves. A few commercial DVDs are available online which go into more detail, but I hope these few notes will at least give you a taste.

This post has been updated – the content of all Rueda de Bachata posts are now gathered together on a single page.
